Owner’s Chris & Sharee Favaloro and co-host and family member Andrew Zoli are the dynamic team that collaborate the restaurant and function events whilst Executive Chef, Davide Ferraro leads the talented team offering an extensive, modern Italian inspired cuisine, incorporating fresh Australian seafood, Black Angus beef, house made pastas and delectable desserts for the most fastidious diner.
A striking interior complete with polished timber floors, crystal chandeliers and several fireplaces welcomes you in to warm, ambient surrounds, especially during winter. Our fully air conditioned venue with bi-fold windows overlooking Bay Street’s picturesque street scape is the only place to be to enjoy gentle Bayside breezes on those warm summer evenings.
Our beautiful Jarrah bar is an ideal meeting place to sit up and enjoy the extensive beverage list and some freshly shucked oysters after work or before heading off to the cinema.
Vivace Restaurant Brighton offers 4 Private Dining Rooms, all unique areas suitable for private dining or a cocktail function entertaining groups ranging from 10-40 seated and up to 60 for a cocktail style event.
Vivace Restaurant is also available for exclusive venue hire and can accommodate up to 90 guests seated or up to 150 standing guests.
Husband & wife team Chris & Sharee Favaloro have been partners in life and in business for two decades.
Together they have 3 children and have launched multiple cafe and restaurant business’ with their hospitality, food & beverage, marketing and customer service expertise.
They both share an immense passion for the industry, focusing on exceptional customer service and quality products, customer satisfaction and enduring relationships.
Andrew is his name and affection is his game.
Now in the third business that this family team have operated together, it’s easy to see why they move around the dining room completely in-sync with one another in a seemingly effortless collaboration.
There’s a distinct warmth and charm that resides in the generous spirit of Vivace Head Chef Davide Ferraro… and it’s as genuine as his Italian origins.
Davide Ferraro was born and raised in the ancient city of Turin (Torino), located in the picturesque Alpine region of Northern Italy. Torino is the second largest business district after Milan and is famous for its Universities, Art Galleries, Museums, Palaces and Restaurants.
Davide is the only son of his proud parents of whom he says were the greatest influence in his life. Davide’s father a talented craftsman and his mother and grandmother (Nona) both exceptional cooks, leaves us with little wonder as to where gets his innate flare and creativity with food.
In 1998, Davide began his chef career which provided him opportunity to travel and work in some of Europe’s great restaurants.
This collaboration has been a wonderful experience for both Davide and the Vivace Team for the past 4 years. Vivace’s kitchen team has enjoyed the knowledge and influence brought to them with Davide’s Italian heritage and has ignited the rebirth of our Italian – named restaurant, bringing Vivace back to the forefront of Melbourne’s leading Authentic Italian restaurants and in January this year, earning Davide his stripes as Vivace’s Head Chef.
So if ever you are passing the Vivace kitchen, you just might hear the unashamed Italian singing echoing through the walls, you will now know it is Davide Ferraro, so be sure to say ‘ciao’ Hello!
